A321 using biological fuel from Lufthansa will be in service on July, 15.

Lufthansa (Deutsche Lufthansa AG) plans to launch using biofuel as scheduled on July 15, flight service, which started a six-month flight test activities. The test flight will use a loading IAEV2500 airbus A321 engines operating routes Frankfurt to Hamburg.

The A321 one engine will use by 50-50 mix ratio of bio-oil and traditional kerosene, plans to run eight times a day to and from Hamburg, Frankfurt and flights. Lufthansa is expected to be in six months by around 1500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Lufthansa initially announced last year will launch these flights, but need to wait through the certification.

The aircraft will be in Hamburg airport refueling, Finland NestleOil bio-oil for supply. Several German media reported that the plane part using bio-oil A321 operation half year will cost 6.5 million euros ($9.26 million) (60 million yuan), in which the German government will pay 2.5 million euros.
